Weight is a body's relative mass giving rise to a downward force; the heaviness of a person or thing.
Why it's important
Along with other measurements, like waist circumference or body fat percentage, knowing your weight can provide helpful information when it comes to your health. For example, if you;re exercising regularly and your weight goes UP but body fat percentage goes DOWN, it's safe to say you're likely putting on some lean muscle mass.
How to measure
A calibrated scale.
How to interpret
By itself, weight is not a great metric to look at. Body fat % is ideal, but more challenging to measure at home.
